Interior Decorating Workshop
This introduction course will outline the elements in the interior decorating process. You will learn about colour, paint, texture and scale. The day will also touch on trends in textiles, soft furnishings and downsizing. A colour kit will be provided with an activity on the day.
Colour and Paint
The options are endless latte tones, traditional creams and contemporary whites. We will talk in brief about light and contemporary paint choices. How to create a coherent story and mood with colour. For instance, when to accentuate details in the room.
Textiles and Soft Furnishings
Explore textile options, linens, lush velvets and jacquards. The look is now
more organic and matte. Bright contemporary florals and geometric motifs are in vogue. Look at different window treatments, textile choice and styles in brief. Texture and Scale
Texture is vital, adding depth to the room. Accessories, upholstery, timber and ‘found pieces’. Scale has the capacity to add interest to the room. A sense of personality. This will be covered in brief with some insider tips.
