The Sydney Bush Walkers are a community of around 800 men and women of diverse backgrounds, bonded by a desire for outdoor adventure in wonderful natural areas of Sydney, Australia and beyond.
Hatha Yoga is a blend of breathing, physical postures and relaxation. It involves limbering, stretching and strengthening to bring about awareness of the physical body, the practice of correct breathing and learning to overcome stress and tension through relaxation.
Mel brings fabulous energy into her classes and we are excited to have her as part of our team. We advise booking early to secure your spot, as Mel’s Pilates classes are very popular.. It's a great way to start your day and a very popular class.

Our Stretch & Release class is an absolute delight. Designed to reduce tight & tense muscles and stretch out your body. This class involves light movement and deep stretching to leave you feeling long, loose, and ready to move through your day.
NEW eight week course 'Create More Calm, with Mindfulness and Movement'. Starts on Tuesday 10th October with the wonderful Rosemary. Rosemary is an incredible teacher and each week you will leave feeling much better than you did before class. You'll find the tools to help create calm. This course comes highly recommended. Come and de-stress your day.
Pilates promotes mobility and strength of all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion, whilst also having a key focus on the deep core muscles. It improves posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.
Tai Chi with Roger. Roger is a practitioner with 30 years experience. Classes we will be one hour each and are for all ages. Physical benefits include improved flexibility, balance and muscle tone. For the mind, increased mental acuity and improved mood. Tai Chi is known to reduce anxiety and depression.

This class will be delivered online using the Zoom video platform. To take part, you will need to download and install Zoom from the internet, and set up a free ‘basic’ account. – we will also provide an invite code, so the class is secure and for those booked.

Yoga for Every ‘Body’ – an all-inclusive class, yoga in a supportive environment. A non-judgemental class for those that might not feel at home in your average yoga studio.
Yoga is a great way to keep in shape, it builds strength, balance and flexibility. It helps improve mood and mental focus. It can be a way to combine exercise with mindfulness.
Yoga can be practiced by everybody no matter your age, shape or size. You do not have to be strong and flexible to start yoga, but you will definitely gain improved mental and physical wellbeing through regular practice.
If you are interested to find out more and see what yoga all is about, come to our community yoga class. We will cover some of the very basics of yoga in a friendly and supportive environment. So, come and try it for yourself.
Research shows that older people who participate in regular yoga classes have improved balance and are at reduced risk for falls.

Meditation has been scientifically proven to assist in restoring overall health and wellbeing. Come and join our meditation group and feel the rejuvenating effect. Classes include Mindfulness and awareness techniques, guided meditations and beneficial breathing techniques for instant calm. Your teacher Mike is an active member of the Australian Meditation Teachers' Association.
Anxiety and depression are of growing concern in our community. Around one in four people will experience one of these conditions in their lifetime. There has been an increasing focus on the importance of physical activity and exercise in combating these mental illnesses. However, many clients experience significant barriers to participating in exercise programs. Personal health coaching is a blend of counselling, motivational interviewing and physical health assessment that can help clients of any age and fitness level to overcome some of the barriers that many prevent them from becoming more active. This is a one-to-one series of sessions conducted by trained counsellors who have expertise in physical health and wellbeing.
