Broadband For Seniors (BFS) is an Australian Government initiative. BFS helps senior Australians get access to skills they need to use computers and access the internet. BFS kiosks are located all around Australia. They are available to anyone 50 years or over who wants to learn how to use a computer and surf the Internet.
This course is for absolute beginners. The lessons are one-on-one, which means you will have the undivided attention of your tutor. Lessons cover sending emails, web browsing, using the search engine Google, and basic word processing. The tutor will provide you with an email address if you don’t already have one. You don’t even need to have a computer at home. You will be able to practice on the KNC computers dedicated to BFS users.
Date: On-going, Monday to Saturday. Lessons by appointment only
Tutors: Dick and Jean (Volunteers)
Bookings: Jean on 9922 5408
Cost: A one-off $5 contribution towards KNC’s running costs
