The walls of the Gallery on the first floor feature the original sandstone and brick built on site in the 1840’s. The room has high ceilings with picture rails, Tasmanian timber floor and French doors opening onto the balconies that overlook several of Sydney’s famous icons including the Opera House, the Harbour, the Harbour Bridge and the skyline of North Sydney and the city itself. Ceiling fans have recently been fitted.
Located towards the rear of the building on the ground floor, the Blake room is ideal for counselling and meetings. The Blake room is furnished with comfortable chairs and a table (work station) and is the perfect setting for professional counselling services, or mid-size meetings.
The Old Library is located on the ground floor at the front of the building. It has beautiful high ceilings, original old hearth and beautiful heritage features. This light and sunny room is suitable for small meetings, workshops and is perfect for music lessons.
The Trelawney room has high ceilings and a timber floor and features original fireplaces. The Trelawney room has a graceful arch midway and a large front window opening onto the front verandah. The rear side door opens into the back courtyard by the old frangipani tree.
Our Library is opposite the Front Office. Do come in and browse - we have hundreds of books spanning many different genres: Fiction; Thriller; Biography; Romance; History & Politics; Art & Photography; Food & Wine as well as a large section for Children and Young Adults. The library has high ceilings and features an original fireplace. The walls are covered in book shelves and comfortable chairs for reading are scattered around the room. A large front window opens onto the front verandah.
Located on the first floor toward the front of the building, the Thornton room is set around the old hearth. Ideal for workshops, seminars and small group gatherings this room provide a light and airy atmosphere.
Located towards the rear of the building on the first floor, the McManus Room is ideal as a counselling, meditation or massage room. Light and airy, the carpeted room is furnished with comfortable chairs appropriate for offering professional counselling services.
The back courtyard is fully secured and is child sensitive with a synthetic turf area, small playground, outdoor seating areas, plenty of shade and green throughout the seasons. It’s a great outdoor setting for picnic-style family gatherings and children’s birthday parties.
The Back Balcony is located upstairs at the rear of the building. This light and sunny covered space is suitable for small gatherings, dinners, celebrations, small weddings etc. It is absolutely stunning and overlooks our courtyard. This space has fairy lights, and can be decorated to your needs. This space has been used for luncheons and special functions.
Located on the first floor toward the front of the building, the King room is set around the old hearth. Ideal for workshops, seminars and small group gatherings this room provides a light and airy atmosphere.
