Recycling
Why use the Northern Sydney CRC?
Most of the items accepted at the CRC can be reused or recycled. By sorting our waste and taking it to a recycling centre, we are:
Keeping potentially hazardous waste out of landfill
Helping improve recycling rates
Saving water, energy, and other valuable natural resources
You can drop off the following items for FREE
Only household quantities apply – with a maximum limit of 20 litres or 20kg per customer per drop off.
Paint (oil and water based) max limit of 20L of paint in containers no larger than 20L each (eg. 2 x 10L cans OR 1 x 20L can OR 5 x 4L cans) per customer per drop off.
Gas bottles
Fire extinguishers
Motor and other oils (including cooking oil.) Max limit of 20L of oil in containers no larger than 20L each (eg. 2 x 10L cans OR 1 x 20L can OR 5 x 4L cans) per customer per drop off.
Fluorescent, halogen and LED globes and tubes
Electronic Waste (eg. computers, TVs, electrical equipment and small electrical appliances.) Please remove plastic packaging on CDs/DVDs and VHS tapes. Maximum limit of 20kg per customer per drop off. Small microwaves are accepted, but other white goods (like fridges, washing machines or dryers) are not accepted.
Household batteries
Lead Acid Batteries (eg. car & motorbike batteries)
Smoke detectors
Mobile phones
Temporary pause of drop off of X-ray films maximum limit of 20kg per customer per drop off
Printer cartridges provided they are one of these brands: Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Roland, Samsung, Sharp and Toshiba.

My Aged Care - For those Seniors who need help at home
If you or someone you know needs help at home, please call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 (Freecall*).
They are open:
Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
Saturdays: 10am to 2pm
Closed on Sundays and national public holidays.
My Aged Care can access your needs as required. Services provided are house help, cleaning, bed changes, shopping and meals etc. You can check their website out at https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/
